Quetta, December 23, 2024 — A hand grenade attack in the New Sariab jurisdiction of Quetta has left two civilians injured. The blast occurred in the early hours of the day, causing damage to nearby properties.

According to local authorities, the attackers hurled the grenade before fleeing the scene. Police personnel from the Bomb Disposal Squad (BD) were immediately deployed to assess the situation and secure the area. The injured civilians were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities have launched a search operation to apprehend the attackers, who remain at large. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

The attack highlights the ongoing security challenges in Quetta and Balochistan, with local officials condemning the violence. Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and senior police officers have vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The incident is under investigation, with authorities stepping up efforts to identify and capture those responsible.
