QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has pledged to address the province’s pressing issues through consultation and consensus. After meeting with top political figures in the Balochistan Assembly, he assured citizens of proactive measures for public welfare and security.
In a session held on Tuesday, former Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, Senate members Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo and Samina Zehri, and newly elected MPA Mir Ali Hasan Zehri joined the discussions on Balochistan’s political, social, and security challenges. CM Bugti emphasized, “We will work tirelessly to meet the expectations of our people and resolve their issues through mutual cooperation.”
During the assembly, Speaker Captain (R) Khaliq Achakzai administered the oath to Mir Ali Hasan Zehri as the MPA from Hub. Former CM Nawab Aslam Raisani highlighted concerns about excessive security checks, stating, “Unnecessary harassment at check posts must stop to rebuild public trust.”
Addressing the issue, CM Bugti assured swift action, saying, “We are committed to resolving complaints about unnecessary check posts while maintaining security.”
The session also discussed key matters, including the abduction of 10-year-old Muhammad Musawir Khan. CM Bugti reiterated the government’s dedication to improving law and order, adding, “Protecting our citizens is our top priority, and we will address every challenge with a collaborative approach.”
