CHAMAN: A powerful blast targeted a security forces’ vehicle in Chaman, a key Pakistani city bordering Afghanistan, on Friday evening. Police confirmed that the attack was carried out using a remote-controlled bomb, leaving two civilians injured and causing significant damage to the vehicle.

Details of the Incident

According to law enforcement, the explosive device was planted in a motorcycle parked along the roadside. The bomb detonated just as the security forces’ vehicle passed by the spot. Eyewitnesses reported a loud explosion, creating panic in the area.

Casualties and Medical Assistance

Two civilians sustained injuries in the blast and were immediately rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, Chaman, for medical treatment. The condition of the injured is reported to be stable, according to hospital sources.

Preliminary Investigations

Initial investigations suggest the bomb was remotely detonated, indicating a calculated attempt to target the security forces. Police and security agencies have cordoned off the area and are conducting a thorough investigation to identify the perpetrators.
