Quetta, January 11: Civil Lines Police in Quetta have arrested Dr. Bahar Shah, Chairman of the Grand Health Alliance, after registering a case against him and others for allegedly attacking the Director General (DG) Health. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced, reportedly showing the assault.

According to the FIR, Dr. Bahar Shah is accused of attacking the DG Health with an iron rod.

Reacting to the arrest, Dr. Saboor Kakar, spokesperson for the Young Doctors Association (YDA) Balochistan, issued a stern warning. He announced that all YDA units across the province are ready to boycott government hospital services if Dr. Bahar Shah is not released within an hour.

“Any harm or damage caused will be the sole responsibility of Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, the Health Secretary, and the DG Health,” Dr. Saboor Kakar stated in his warning.

The situation is escalating, with the Young Doctors Association threatening to paralyze health services in Balochistan if their demands are not met immediately.
