MUSAKHEL, BALOCHISTAN – May 28: Security forces killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Musakhel district of Balochistan, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
According to security sources, the terrorists belonged to a proscribed organization and were involved in multiple deadly attacks on passenger buses in the Rarra Sham and Rarkan areas.
The operation was launched after security forces received a tip-off about the terrorists’ presence in the region. During the raid, an exchange of fire took place, resulting in the death of four militants.
Security officials revealed that the terrorists were in the process of planting explosives along the highway in Rarra Sham when they were intercepted. Weapons and bombs were recovered from the scene.
Authorities suspect the same group was behind previous attacks on buses that caused casualties and widespread panic in the area. The successful operation is being hailed as a significant step toward restoring peace in Musakhel.
The area has been cordoned off and a search operation is ongoing to track down any remaining militants in the vicinity.
