Quetta – June 13, 2025:

In a landmark ruling, the Additional District and Sessions Court Quetta (IX) has sentenced Asad Khan to three death penalties after convicting him of a triple homicide involving his wife, father-in-law, and aunt-in-law. The violent crime, driven by a domestic dispute, occurred outside the District Court Quetta in February 2019.

Presiding Judge Ghulam Mustafa Ranjha delivered the verdict, stating that Asad Khan had been proven guilty beyond doubt for the premeditated murder of Faryal Bibi, Arbab Abdul Jabbar Kasi, and Fauzia Bibi. A fourth victim, Asiya Bibi, survived the attack but sustained serious injuries.

The court imposed a financial penalty of PKR 1.5 million, warning that failure to pay would result in extended imprisonment. Additional punishments included:

  • 5 years imprisonment under Section 324 (attempted murder)
  • PKR 100,000 fine, or six more months in jail
  • 1-year sentence under Section 337F with PKR 170,000 in compensation
  • Mandatory injury compensation (daman) to survivor Asiya Bibi

The convict attempted to escape the crime scene but was swiftly apprehended by traffic police officers near Court Road while still in possession of the weapon. The court acquitted co-accused Abdul Latif due to insufficient evidence.
