Islamabad: Aspiring medical and dental students will have to pay more to sit for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025, as the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has raised registration fees for both local and overseas candidates.

According to the official announcement, the nationwide MDCAT will take place on October 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM. However, students must now budget for significantly higher registration costs:

  • Local Candidates: Rs9,000 (regular), Rs13,000 (late)
  • Overseas Candidates: Rs45,000 (regular), Rs55,000 (late)

The revised fees mark a noticeable jump compared to previous years, adding extra pressure on students preparing for Pakistan’s most competitive medical entry test.

Registration Schedule

  • Regular Registration: August 8 to August 25, 2025
  • Late Registration: Until September 1, 2025

PMDC has also stressed that candidates will only be allowed to appear in the province linked to their domicile to maintain transparency and fairness.

The MDCAT 2025 will feature 180 multiple-choice questions, with 15% at an advanced difficulty level to test higher-order thinking skills.
