Islamabad – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has added two more political parties to its official list, increasing the total number of registered political parties in the country to 170.

According to the ECP notification, the newly registered political parties are the Azad Awam Pakistan Party and the Tajdeed-e-Nizam Party. Muhammad Ali has been appointed as the head of Azad Awam Pakistan Party, while Khalid Zaman will lead the Tajdeed-e-Nizam Party as chairman.

The ECP has also confirmed the intra-party elections of both political organizations, declaring them valid and in accordance with election rules. With this development, the Election Commission continues to expand the democratic landscape of Pakistan by recognizing new political voices.

Political analysts believe that the growing number of parties reflects the dynamic nature of Pakistan’s political system, where citizens are seeking new platforms to represent their aspirations.
