North Waziristan: Security sources have confirmed that a major suicide attack on a security forces camp in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan was successfully foiled, resulting in the deaths of six terrorists.

According to security sources, a terrorist driving an explosives-laden vehicle rammed it into the boundary wall of the camp, causing a powerful explosion. Despite the blast, the attackers failed to breach the compound.

Following the explosion, five more terrorists attempted to enter the camp but were immediately neutralized outside due to the swift and effective response of the security personnel, the sources added.

Security sources further revealed that a total of 108 terrorists — reportedly sent by the Afghan Taliban — have been killed over the past four days during various counter-terrorism operations across the region.

They also confirmed that one soldier was martyred and six others sustained injuries when the roof of a security post partially collapsed after the blast.

Security sources reiterated that under the National Action Plan, the people of Pakistan, along with the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, remain steadfast in their mission to eliminate every foreign-backed terrorist from the country.
