Mobile Internet Suspended in Quetta for 24 Hours Due to Security Situation

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has temporarily suspended mobile internet services in Quetta for 24 hours amid rising security concerns, according to an official statement issued by the Home Department of Balochistan.

The department said the mobile data shutdown was implemented to maintain law and order in the provincial capital. The internet suspension in Quetta will continue until midnight tonight.

The temporary internet blackout has severely affected students, business owners, and professionals who rely on online services for work and education. Citizens have voiced frustration over repeated internet disruptions in Balochistan, calling for alternative arrangements to ensure connectivity during such situations.

Officials added that the measure is part of precautionary steps taken to ensure public safety and prevent any untoward incidents.
