Sibi: Deputy Commissioner Sibi Major (R) Ilyas Kabzai conducted a detailed inspection of several ongoing BSDI (Balochistan Sustainable Development Initiative) projects. He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Sibi Mansoor Ali Shah, Assistant Commissioner Bakhtiarabad Mir Bahadur Khan Bangulzai, the concerned SDO, and other technical staff.
The DC first visited the Water Supply Scheme near the TV Booster, where the development work was reviewed, and the project was formally inaugurated by Mir Bahadur Khan Bangulzai. The team also inspected the ongoing work on the filtration plant at the site. The Deputy Commissioner stated that this water supply scheme holds significant importance for Sibi city, and once the pipeline installation is completed, the surrounding areas will receive clean drinking water.
Later, he inspected the repair and rehabilitation work of the Filtration Plant at Railway Colony.
The DC also visited Mill Baziri, where he reviewed the construction work for the filtration plant, installation of the RO plant, and the solar-powered tube well.
Expressing strong dissatisfaction over the substandard construction of the filtration plant building, he issued strict instructions that the poorly executed structure be completely demolished and rebuilt according to approved standards. He also stopped the use of substandard material immediately and warned the contractor that negligence would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The Deputy Commissioner inspected the earthen water reservoir being built under BSDI in Mill Baziri and directed the contractor to increase its depth and reinforce the embankments using a dozer. A similar reservoir at Raza Machhi was also inspected. These reservoirs are designed to store rainwater for local community use.
DC Ilyas Kabzai emphasized ensuring quality, speed, and transparency in all development projects, stating that there is no room for negligence in public-interest works.
