News Desk:

Mama Qadeer Baloch, a well-known campaigner for the rights of families of missing persons in Balochistan, passed away after battling prolonged illness.

Born Abdul Qadeer Baloch, he spent much of his early life working in the banking sector, leading an ordinary and disciplined routine. Everything changed in 2009 when his son, Jalil Reki Baloch, went missing and was later found dead.

As a key figure in Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, he worked to bring attention, support, and dignity to those seeking answers.

His prolonged protest outside the Quetta Press Club and his participation in a landmark march from Quetta to Islamabad in 2013 drew national and global focus to the issue. Known for his calm manner and humane approach, Mama Qadeer believed justice could only be pursued through law, dialogue, and peaceful struggle.
