News Desk: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday formally launched the Balochistan Plantation Campaign 2026 by planting a sapling at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Quetta.

The province-wide tree plantation drive has been initiated to mark the arrival of spring, with saplings set to be planted across Balochistan in the coming weeks. Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister emphasized that tree plantation is a shared responsibility and called upon citizens, especially the youth, to actively participate in efforts to make Balochistan greener and more climate-resilient.

Provincial ministers, members of the provincial assembly, and Secretary Forests Imran Gichki were also present at the ceremony. Officials from the Forest Department briefed the chief minister on the targets and implementation plan of the plantation campaign.

The Balochistan government has announced that thousands of saplings will be planted during the spring season at public spaces, educational institutions, roadsides, and government offices across the province as part of the 2026 plantation drive.
