Quetta : The President of MCC Resources Development Company (MRDL), Tan Jun, announced that the Saindak Copper-Gold Project recorded exceptional achievements in 2025 through scientific planning and systematic execution, setting new benchmarks in production and operational performance.
Speaking at the Chinese New Year and Spring Festival celebrations organized by MRDL at Saindak, Tan Jun highlighted that strengthened safety and integrity systems, implementation of Amoeba management practices, and adoption of 5S quality standardization significantly contributed to operational efficiency. He added that focused initiatives on cost reduction, site improvement, and corporate image enhancement played a key role in these milestones.
The ceremony was attended by FC Nokundi Deputy Commandant, MRDL officials including Muhammad Khalid Gul and Ramzan Ali, Assistant Commissioner Taftan, Taftan Town Chairman Nazir Baloch, local community representatives, and a large gathering of employees.
Despite a challenging security environment, Tan Jun stated that the company achieved record production and operational growth, further reinforcing the Pakistan–China economic partnership. He noted that the project secured CNAS laboratory accreditation, a first for Pakistan’s mining sector, demonstrating high technical standards and professional competence. He emphasized that teamwork, accountability, and a shared vision were central to these successes.
Looking ahead, Tan Jun declared 2026 as a year of renewed goals and responsibility, pledging to enhance innovation, operational quality, and performance. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to social responsibility, procedural improvement, efficiency, and strengthening Pakistan–China cooperation in mining and industrial development.
Addressing the gathering, MRDL Vice President Muhammad Khalid Gul said collaboration and unity remain the organization’s core strengths, expressing confidence that collective efforts in 2026 would drive further institutional growth and success.
SML General Manager Technical Noor-ul-Haq described the Saindak project as a model of effective bilateral cooperation built on trust and shared expertise. He emphasized that joint efforts by Chinese and Pakistani teams contribute not only to project progress but also to Pakistan’s economic development and mining sector advancement. He reiterated commitments to safety, innovation, sustainability, and long-term cooperation.
The event concluded with cultural performances featuring Pakistani and Chinese dances and sketches, along with a fireworks display celebrating the start of the Chinese New Year.
