News Desk: The Election Commission of Pakistan has formally issued the notification declaring Khushal Khan Kakar as the elected Member of the National Assembly from NA-251 (Sherani–Zhob–Killa Saifullah), following clear directions from the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The notification comes after the Supreme Court overturned an earlier decision of the election tribunal and instructed the ECP to acknowledge Khushal Khan Kakar’s success in the constituency, thereby resolving the long-standing electoral dispute.
With this development, Khushal Khan Kakar, who is also the chairman of the Pashtoonkhwa National Awami Party, has officially secured his position in the National Assembly, strengthening his political mandate in the region.
Political analysts view the move as an important milestone for constitutional supremacy and electoral justice, while party supporters and democratic voices have welcomed the decision as a confirmation of the voters’ mandate and the credibility of Pakistan’s legal and electoral system.
