  • Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stated that the provincial government has placed all relevant departments on high alert in response to the evolving situation in Iran, ensuring preparedness to deal with any possible developments along the border.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, the chief minister said that the arrival of Pakistani citizens and foreign nationals through the Pakistan–Iran border continues, and authorities at the Taftan crossing are providing all necessary assistance and facilities to those entering the country.

He noted that administrative and security institutions in border districts have been directed to ensure organized and secure movement of incoming individuals. Immigration officials, security agencies, and the local administration at Taftan are actively coordinating efforts to manage the situation and facilitate travelers.

According to the chief minister, a total of 1,979 individuals have so far entered Pakistan through the Taftan border crossing. Among them are families of 37 diplomats, who are also being provided with necessary support and guidance upon arrival.

Bugti added that the provincial government is closely monitoring the situation and remains in constant coordination with federal authorities to effectively handle any emergency. He emphasized that extending humanitarian assistance and ensuring convenience for those arriving at the border remains a key priority of the government.
