QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has expressed satisfaction over successful counter-terrorism operations in Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar and Panjgur, paying tribute to the security forces and law enforcement agencies for their professionalism, bravery and timely response.

The Chief Minister said the elimination of 37 terrorists in Balochistan was a major achievement in the ongoing fight against terrorism. He praised the security forces for carrying out intelligence-based operations against terrorist networks and inflicting significant damage on elements attempting to destabilise the province.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the sacrifices of security personnel and law enforcement agencies reflected the nation’s unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorism. He maintained that every attempt to disrupt peace, development and stability in Balochistan would be thwarted.

The Chief Minister further said that attempts to undermine peace in Balochistan through alleged Indian-sponsored terrorism would be defeated. He reiterated that terrorist elements would not be allowed to disrupt the lives of citizens or hinder the province’s development.

He said intelligence-based operations (IBOs) and effective security measures would continue until terrorism was completely eliminated from Balochistan.

“Sustainable peace in Balochistan remains the provincial government’s top priority,” the Chief Minister said, adding that state institutions, with the support of the people, would continue their efforts to eradicate terrorism from the province.
