Quetta: A specialized drone training session was organized for officers of the Excise Department at the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Headquarters, Khalid Airbase, aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of operations against illegal drugs through modern technology.

The training program introduced officers and personnel to the use of advanced drone technology for surveillance and monitoring, particularly to help identify illegal cultivation of narcotics in remote and hard-to-reach areas. Officials said the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to modernize anti-narcotics strategies and improve field operations.

During the session, participants received a detailed briefing on the practical use of drones, aerial monitoring techniques, and modern surveillance methods that can assist law enforcement agencies in detecting and tracking illicit drug activities more efficiently.

Speaking on the occasion, Ayub Hazara said that such training programs play a vital role in enhancing the professional skills and operational capacity of officers and field personnel, enabling them to respond more effectively to the challenges posed by drug trafficking and illegal cultivation.

At the end of the training, certificates of appreciation were distributed among the officers and personnel who successfully completed the program. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the campaign against narcotics through coordinated efforts and the adoption of modern technology.

The ceremony was also attended by Director Excise Naseerullah Mandokhail and other senior officials.
