News Desk: Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has expressed serious concern over the absence of a large examination hall at the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC), calling it a major gap in the province’s top competitive examination body.

During a meeting with BPSC Chairman Justice (R) Mehta Kalash Nath Kohli at the Governor House in Quetta, the governor emphasized that the commission plays a crucial role in recruiting competent and capable officers for various government departments across Balochistan.

He described the BPSC as a beacon of hope for talented youth, stating that thousands of candidates rely on the institution for fair career opportunities. He stressed that every member of the commission must ensure strict merit, transparency, and impartiality in recruitment so that deserving candidates receive their rightful positions.

The meeting reviewed key issues including the performance of BPSC, lack of a large examination hall, financial challenges, recruitment procedures, and future reforms. The governor underlined the urgent need for financial strengthening of the commission to enable expansion of its infrastructure and operations.

Mandokhail said that the construction of a modern and spacious examination hall is essential to facilitate candidates and improve the efficiency of the examination process. He noted that better infrastructure would help BPSC conduct exams more effectively and professionally.

Highlighting unemployment challenges in Balochistan, the governor stated that transparent and merit-based recruitment through BPSC can significantly reduce youth frustration and joblessness in the province.

He also urged the BPSC chairman to further improve transparency, efficiency, and institutional performance, adding that reforms in the commission would enhance public trust in government institutions.
