Levies recover 4 abducted Iranian nationals near Pak-Iran border

CHAGHI: Levies Force recovered 4 abducted Iranian nationals near the Pak-Iran border district of Chaghi. Quick Response Force (QRF) of Levies Force conducted a raid in Basalani mountains near the Iranian border, Javed Domki, the Assistant Commissioner Dalbandin, the headquarter of Chaghi district told a news conference. “They all are fine and levies recovered them unhurt”, Mr. Domki told reporters. The QRF conducted a successful raid in a mountainous area to ensure their recovery.
Iranians abducted in a business dispute
Armed men had abducted the Iranian nationals from the Rotak area of Iran in a business dispute, he informed. Mr. Domki mentioned that twelve days back the Iranians kidnapped by armed men and QRF conducted a raid on a tip-off to ensure their unhurt recovery. The Iranian nationals would be handed over to the Iranian authorities after completion of the necessary documentation, Mr. Domki stated. He however said the kidnappers fled away while taking benefit to the mountainous area.

Pakistan shares more than 900 km of border with Iran. The two neighboring countries have already established a joint border commission to stop human trafficking and drug smuggling at the border. The two countries meet after a quarter to discuss human trafficking, drug smuggling, and other issues relating to the border.

However, they were set free in the aftermath of successful operations by security forces in the bordering region. Pakistan has one legal-crossing point at Taftan with neighboring Iran. Businessmen, students, and thousands of Shia pilgrims enter Iran through Taftan.
