News Desk: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti met with opposition members of the Balochistan Assembly, led by Opposition Leader Mir Younas Aziz Zehri, to discuss key issues including the upcoming 2026–27 provincial budget, parliamentary affairs, and development planning.
The high-level meeting focused on aligning the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) with the real needs of the people, ensuring that future development projects directly address public welfare, economic growth, and regional disparities. Both the government and opposition reached a consensus to prioritize people-centric policies in the next fiscal year’s development agenda.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti emphasied that both treasury and opposition benches represent the people of Balochistan and reiterated that all constructive proposals aimed at public welfare would be fully considered. He emphasized that the Balochistan Assembly reflects a strong blend of democratic traditions and provincial values, making it a model of parliamentary cooperation.
Highlighting the role of the opposition, Bugti praised their patience, democratic conduct, and commitment to high ethical standards in parliamentary proceedings. He stated that mutual respect and political maturity are key strengths that set Balochistan’s legislature apart.
The Chief Minister further assured that all feasible and approved development schemes serving the public interest would be included in the PSDP 2026–27, reinforcing the government’s commitment to transparency, good governance, and inclusive development.
Opposition members appreciated the Chief Minister’s positive and respectful parliamentary approach, stating that he upholds democratic norms and remains open to constructive criticism, strengthening the spirit of cooperation for the progress of Balochistan.
