News Desk: More than 345,000 patients have received free medical treatment under the Balochistan Health Card Program, with thousands benefiting from critical procedures, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said.

According to official figures, the program has delivered 69,000 dialysis sessions, over 44,000 chemotherapy treatments, and more than 1,200 radiotherapy sessions. Cardiac care includes 7,784 angioplasties and 575 bypass surgeries, while 304 children with heart conditions have been treated free of cost.

The initiative has also facilitated 3,412 neurosurgeries and 12,300 orthopedic surgeries, along with 183 burn and plastic surgery cases. In maternal healthcare, over 55,000 cases have been managed, including 24,688 normal deliveries and 20,344 C-section procedures, benefiting thousands of women.

The chief minister stated that every citizen’s national identity card now serves as a health card, enabling easier access to services. He added that a wide network of major public and private hospitals across Pakistan has been integrated into the program.

Bugti emphasized that the Balochistan government is committed to further strengthening the healthcare sector and expanding facilities to ensure accessible, quality treatment for all.
