QUETTA: Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has said that the issues facing Balochistan can only be resolved through dialogue, mutual understanding, and democratic engagement, stressing that peace and stability are possible only under the Constitution of Pakistan.
Speaking to journalists after inaugurating a Japanese calendar exhibition in Quetta on Tuesday, the governor said lasting solutions cannot come through conflict but through meaningful negotiations and political wisdom.
“We are trying to create an environment where problems can be solved through talks and understanding,” he said, adding that all discussions must remain within constitutional boundaries.
Governor Mandokhail said every nation goes through difficult phases, but challenges can be overcome with patience, unity, and collective efforts. He expressed confidence that the people of Balochistan want peace, progress, economic opportunities, and a stable future for the province.
Government Focused on Investment and Development in Balochistan
Highlighting the province’s economic potential, the governor said the government is working to provide a safe and investor-friendly environment to attract international businesses and development partners.
He noted that Balochistan’s rich mineral resources and strategic importance have drawn the attention of global investors, including China and Japan.
Japan Praised for Continued Support to Pakistan and Balochistan
Governor Mandokhail also appreciated Japan’s longstanding support for Pakistan, especially during humanitarian crises and natural disasters. He acknowledged Japanese assistance in sectors such as education, healthcare, and technical training.
During the event, Syed Nadeem Shah said Japan remains committed to supporting development projects in the province. He shared that the Japanese government has committed $300 million to the Reko Diq copper and gold mining project.
Japanese Cultural Exhibition Draws Public Interest
The Japanese calendar exhibition in Quetta attracted a large number of visitors, with people from different backgrounds appreciating the cultural artwork and displays presented during the event.
