Nokkundi: In a major crackdown against illegal trade and smuggling, Frontier Corps Balochistan South conducted a successful operation in the Nili Pat area of Nokkundi, confiscating a large quantity of prohibited items including foreign cigarettes, supari (betel nut), and gutka.
According to officials, the total value of the seized consignment is estimated at approximately Rs49.3 million. The confiscated goods were later destroyed by burning under official supervision.
A spokesperson for Frontier Corps Balochistan South stated that the operation is part of an ongoing campaign against illegal trade, smuggling networks, and the circulation of substances harmful to public health across the region.
The spokesperson emphasized that the force is pursuing a zero-tolerance policy against smuggling and unlawful activities, adding that such operations will continue to ensure the rule of law and protect public interests.
Local residents appreciated the action, saying the crackdown would help discourage illegal businesses and protect the younger generation from harmful substances.
The operation highlights the continued efforts of security forces to combat smuggling and maintain law and order in Balochistan.
