A prominent tribal elder who had gone missing from the Hanna Urak area of Quetta three days ago has safely returned home, local sources confirmed on Monday.
According to sources, Sardar Zafar Bazai had reportedly gone missing under unclear circumstances earlier this week, raising concern among members of the Bazai tribe and local residents.
During his disappearance, family members and tribesmen staged a protest sit-in in Quetta, temporarily blocking a key road and demanding his safe recovery. The protest later ended following talks between officials and representatives of the demonstrators.
Three days after his disappearance, Sardar Zafar Bazai safely returned home. His return was welcomed by family members and tribesmen, bringing relief after days of uncertainty.
Local sources said the incident had generated concern in the area due to previous security-related incidents involving the family. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and return.
