MASTUNG: Two brothers were shot dead by unidentified armed men on Friday near the Lak Pass area, located on the outskirts of Quetta connecting to Mastung district.
​According to police sources, the victims were traveling from the Panjpai area to Quetta when attackers intercepted them and opened fire, killing both on the spot. The assailants managed to flee the scene immediately after the attack.
​The deceased have been identified as Inamullah Shah Mashwani and Faridullah Shah Mashwani.
​Key Detail: Authorities confirmed that one of the victims, Inamullah (also known as Inam Agha), was an employee at the Balochistan Chief Minister House.
​Law enforcement agencies and rescue teams rushed to the site shortly after the incident. The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examination and legal formalities.
​Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace and apprehend the attackers. The motive behind the double homicide remains unclear, and an investigation is currently underway.
