By Our Correspondent: Comprehensive security arrangements have been assured across Balochistan for Ashura processions and religious gatherings, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said on Thursday, assuring that all relevant institutions are working together to ensure a peaceful observance of Youm-e-Ashura.

In his Ashura message, the chief minister said law enforcement agencies, district administrations, and other concerned departments have been placed on high alert to protect mourners and maintain law and order throughout the province. He added that special measures have been taken to facilitate religious gatherings and ensure the safety of participants during Muharram.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala continue to serve as a timeless lesson in courage, justice, patience, and steadfastness. He noted that the tragedy of Karbala remains a powerful reminder of the importance of standing for truth and resisting oppression.

The chief minister said Imam Hussain (RA) set an unparalleled example of sacrifice for the protection of Islamic values and the supremacy of justice. He added that the message of Karbala continues to inspire people across generations to uphold truth, integrity, and moral courage.

Describing Ashura as a day of unity, brotherhood, tolerance, and mutual respect, Mir Sarfraz Bugti urged citizens to play their role in promoting peace, social harmony, and respect for the rule of law. He stressed that national cohesion and interfaith harmony are essential for lasting stability and development.

He also appreciated the cooperation of religious scholars, procession organizers, volunteers, and members of the public, saying their collective efforts have helped maintain an atmosphere of unity and discipline during Muharram.

The chief minister prayed for Pakistan’s peace, progress, and prosperity and expressed hope that the nation would continue to draw guidance from the sacrifices of Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala in the pursuit of justice and national unity.
