Abdul Rehman Musakhail, Yousaf Marri: Two earthquakes that struck Musakhel district over the past two days have partially damaged between 110 and 125 houses and injured 18 to 19 people, while no fatalities have been reported, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

The earthquakes hit Kingri Tehsil on June 26 and June 27, prompting immediate relief and rescue efforts by the district administration.

Preliminary assessments show that the first earthquake on June 26 caused partial damage to 80 to 90 houses in Mouza Chap and left six people with minor injuries. The second tremor on June 27 affected another 25 to 35 houses across Kingri Tehsil, where 10 to 13 people sustained minor injuries.

Based on an initial joint survey, authorities estimate that a total of 110 to 125 residential houses were partially damaged in the two earthquakes. All reported injuries are minor, and officials have confirmed that no loss of life has occurred.

Relief operations are underway in the affected areas, with medical camps established to provide treatment to the injured and healthcare services to local residents. Emergency teams are also distributing tents, bedding, kitchen kits, solar lights, gas cylinders, floor mats, mosquito nets, and other essential non-food items to affected families.

The Provincial Emergency Operations Centre (PEOC) of the PDMA said it is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with the district administration. A comprehensive damage assessment survey is continuing to determine the full extent of losses and support rehabilitation and recovery efforts.
