QUETTA: The National Party has strongly rejected what it described as misleading reports and social media propaganda suggesting that its leadership supports the use of force in Balochistan.
In a statement issued by the party’s central spokesperson, the National Party said that certain media outlets and social media platforms were creating confusion over recent political meetings held in Islamabad. The spokesperson said these reports falsely portrayed the party as backing a military operation in the province.
The party categorically denied the allegations, stating that its leadership had clearly conveyed its position during meetings with the leadership of the ruling party in Islamabad.
According to the statement, the National Party reiterated its opposition to the use of force in Balochistan and emphasized that the province’s challenges are political in nature and require a political solution.
“The issues facing Balochistan can only be resolved through political dialogue, democratic processes, meaningful reforms, and constructive measures that restore public trust and pave the way for lasting peace and stability,” the spokesperson said.
The National Party also urged media organizations and journalists to avoid publishing or broadcasting unverified reports. It called for responsible journalism and stressed the importance of verifying facts before disseminating news to prevent misinformation and unnecessary confusion.
The statement reaffirmed the party’s long-standing position that sustainable peace in Balochistan depends on dialogue, democratic engagement, and confidence-building measures rather than the use of force.
