QUETTA: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has approved an increase in MBBS seats at Loralai Medical College (LMC) from 50 to 100 for the 2026-27 academic session, offering more opportunities to aspiring medical students in Balochistan.

Under the decision, the college’s approved MBBS intake will be doubled, increasing the number of students who can secure admission each year.

The approval, however, is subject to Loralai Medical College fulfilling its remaining legal, financial and other regulatory requirements.

The development is expected to provide additional opportunities for students from Balochistan seeking admission to MBBS programmes and strengthen medical education capacity in the province.
