News Desk: The Inter‑Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that Security Forces successfully neutralized 21 terrorists during coordinated counter‑terrorism operations in Balochistan’s Chagai and Pishin districts on the night of 31 August–1 September.
According to ISPR, terrorists affiliated with Indian‑sponsored proxies Fitna al‑Hindustan and Fitna al‑Khawarij attempted to disrupt peace and security in the region. Security Forces responded with precision, thwarting their plans and inflicting heavy losses.
On 31 August, terrorists of Fitna al‑Hindustan established an illegal checkpoint along the N‑40 Quetta–Taftan Highway to extort commuters. Security Forces engaged the militants in a fierce exchange of fire, killing 11 terrorists on the spot. A significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered.
During the night of 31 August–1 September, terrorists of Fitna al‑Khawarij launched a coordinated assault on the Customs House. Security Forces repelled the attack, killing 10 terrorists. Fleeing militants were also pursued and neutralized. ISPR noted that the assault reflected a terror‑crime nexus, aimed at obstructing Customs officials from lawful duties and enabling criminal activity.
ISPR confirmed that six personnel, including two officers and a Customs Department official, embraced Shahadat while defending the nation.
Sanitization operations are underway in surrounding areas to secure vital highways and protect local communities. ISPR emphasized that the campaign is part of “Azm‑e‑Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, reaffirming Pakistan’s resolve to eradicate foreign‑sponsored terrorism.
