QUETTA — In a major administrative crackdown, the Health Department of Balochistan has terminated 25 Lady Medical Officers (LMOs) from service following allegations of deliberate and unauthorized absence from official duties.
​Secretary of Health Balochistan, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, issued the official notification announcing the immediate termination of the doctors following the completion of disciplinary proceedings conducted under the Balochistan Employees’ Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (BEDA) Act 2011.
​According to the official notification, the penalties were imposed under Section 4(b)(vii) of the BEDA Act 2011 and take effect immediately. The affected medical officers were posted across various key healthcare facilities, including Civil Hospital Quetta, Bolan Medical Complex Hospital (BMCH), and several regional district health centers.
​The terminated doctors listed in the notification include:
​Dr. Sadia, Dr. Rubya Iqbal Khattak, Dr. Afia Haq, and Dr. Rawa-at-ul-Arfa
​Dr. Palwasha Ali, Dr. Malghalara, Dr. Fozia Hasni, Dr. Beenish Majbeen, and Dr. Kanta Devi
​Dr. Fakhra Jafar, Dr. Tayyaba Iftikhar, Dr. Nadira Satakzai, Dr. Safia, and Dr. Sadia Khan Nasir
​Dr. Ayesha, Dr. Ayesha Ibad, Dr. Iqra Ijaz, Dr. Madeeha Riaz, and Dr. Grah Naz Baloch
​Dr. Fariya Tareen, Dr. Shama-un-Nisa, Dr. Arifa Siddique, Dr. Maryam Ahmed, and Dr. Sabiha
​Health department officials emphasized that strict enforcement of duty schedules remains crucial to maintaining public healthcare services across the province, particularly in underserved districts.
