Web Desk: Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards seized a large quantity of liquor and illegal medicines during a joint intelligence-based anti-smuggling operation in Pishukan, Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.
The operation was conducted in coordination with the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC) following actionable intelligence about an attempted smuggling operation.
According to ISPR, the seized contraband was handed over to the Pakistan Coast Guards for further legal proceedings.
The successful operation demonstrated effective coordination among the participating agencies and their efforts to prevent the use of Pakistan’s coastal areas and territory for smuggling and other illicit activities, ISPR said.
