ISLAMABAD — Pakistan has firmly turned down assertions made by the Afghan Defense Ministry that Taliban forces destroyed a Pakistani border outpost near the Spin Boldak–Chaman crossing, labeling the claims as completely baseless and fabricated.
​Setting the record straight via an official statement on X, Pakistani authorities clarified that security forces successfully thwarted an attempted cross-border infiltration in the Gulistan sector late Wednesday night.
Heavy retaliatory strikes were subsequently launched against opposing posts, resulting in at least 13 Afghan Taliban personnel killed and several others severely injured.
​Disputed Claims and Official Visual Proof
​Addressing assertions from Kabul that Afghan forces experienced zero casualties during the skirmish, Islamabad shared photographic and video evidence showing the engagement and its immediate aftermath. Officials stressed that the released footage clearly confirms the scale of the counter-strike delivered after what was described as an unprovoked cross-border assault.
​The official response emphasized that the narrative put forward by the Afghan ministry lacks credibility and is an attempt to cover up operational losses along the frontier.
