DUKKI: One private security guard was killed, two people were injured, and 12 workers were abducted after armed assailants attacked a construction company camp in the Palari area of Nana Sahib Ziarat, Duki district.
​Superintendent of Police (SP) Duki, Mansoor Ahmed Buzdar, confirmed that heavily armed men raided the construction facility, triggering a heavy gunfight with private security personnel deployed at the site.
​In the firing, private security guard Muhtaj-ur-Rehman, a resident of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was killed. Another guard, Imran Wazir, alongside a local passerby named Latif Tareen, sustained bullet injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
​Before fleeing the scene, the attackers checked the Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) of the site workers and forcefully abducted 12 laborers—10 originating from Punjab and two ethnic Pashtun workers.
The assailants also set fire to heavy construction machinery inside the premises.
​A joint search operation involving the Police, Frontier Corps (FC), and local security agencies is currently underway across Duki and neighboring areas to locate the missing workers and secure their release.
