News Desk: Three people were killed and one injured in a firing incident over a reported business dispute near Poodgali Chowk in Quetta, police said.
According to a police statement, the deceased were identified as Manzoor, son of Muhammad Siddiq; Basit, son of Muhammad Sadiq; and Muhammad Sadiq, son of Muhammad Siddiq. Haseeb, son of Muhammad Sadiq, sustained injuries in the incident.
Police said all four individuals belonged to the Marri tribe and were residents of Quetta.
Emergency teams reached the scene following the incident and shifted the victims to nearby hospitals. Two bodies were taken to Bolan Medical Complex (BMC) Hospital, while the third body and the injured man were moved to Civil Hospital Quetta.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident to establish the circumstances surrounding the firing and identify those responsible.
Meanwhile, relatives of the deceased staged a protest with the bodies, demanding action over the killings.
