Inclusive development essential for sustainable development: Speakers

QUETTA: Speakers at a seminar have termed inclusive development essential for sustainable development in Balochistan. The Balochistan Rural Support Program (BRSP) organized a seminar “Inclusive development and women’s empowerment” at a local hotel on Tuesday. Political leaders, members of treasury and opposition benches, experts, and people belonging to various walks of life participated in the seminar.

“Inclusive development offers solutions to all development issues”, Zahoor Buledi, the Balochistan Finance Minister remarked. Mr. Buledi inaugurated the seminar. However, the Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Sardar Babar Musakhail was guest of honor on the occasion.

BRSP stands for empowerment of women 

“BRSP strives for empowerment of women through different programs”, Nadir Gul Bareech, the Chief Executive of BRSP said. Mr. Bareech briefed political leaders and legislators about all BRSP programs and European Union funded BRACE program. BRACE is a five year program to strenghten women empowerment, reduce the negative impacts economic deprivation, mitigate the impacts of climate change in Balochistan.

“Our government extends full support to BRSP in supporting masses of Balochistan”, Mr. Buledi stated.

The political leaders and legislators both from the treasury and opposition benches vowed to make joint efforts for the development and prosperity of people of Balochistan. They underlined the need for promotion of female literacy rate and imparting skills to youth of Balochistan under the giant project, the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

“Our aim is to take all stakeholders on board”, Nadir Gul Bareech stated. The speakers urged upon all non-governmental-organizations, UN agencies and the government of Balochistan to make coordinated efforts for the development of Balochistan. None can develop the province in isolation, Sardar Babar Musakhail, the Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly stated on the occasion.
