CS Balochistan reviews security plan for Oct 25 PDM rally

Chief Secretary (CS) Balochistan, Captain (R) Fazeel Asghar on Tuesday reviewed the security plan for the fast-approaching October 25 rally of the Pakistan Democratic Movement in Quetta. The CS chaired a high-level meeting that reviewed the security plan and providing fool-proof security to the public meeting of the anti-government alliance.

The 11-party alliance has announced to hold a public meeting in Quetta on October 25 (Sunday) after Gujranwala and Karachi power shows.

Additional Chief Secretary Balochistan (Home), Hafiz Abdul Basit, Inspector General of Police Mohsin Hassan Butt, Commissioner Quetta Division, Asfandyar Khan Kakar and others participated in the meeting.

Meeting discusses a number of issues relating to Balochistan 

The meeting thoroughly discussed the proposed security plan for the upcoming public meeting of the anti-government alliance in Quetta, an official handout issued on Tuesday said. Important decisions made during the high-level meeting that also discussed inflation and a number of issues relating to the province.

The CS Fazeel Asghar said security would be provided to all national-level political leaders in Quetta to avoid the occurrence of any untoward incident. “No negligence would be tolerated in this regard”, the CS sated this as quoted in the official handout.

CS directed administration to step up efforts against inflation

The Chief Secretary also directed the concerned quarters to make sure action against hoarders and ensure official rates of commodities in the province. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan has already taken the notice of increasing prices of commodities and ordered action against the hoarders.

Mr. Fazeel Asghar directed all the deputy commissioners of the province to make sure display of price lists at all commodities shops and ensure official rates. He said the government was committed to providing commodities at reasonable prices to the masses.
