QUETTA: Opposition parties in Balochistan Assembly have walked from the assembly building to chief minister’s secretariat to press the government for acceptance of their demands. Opposition leader Malik Sikandar Khan Advocate led the opposition legislators during the protest rally.
The opposition legislators have lashed out at the Jam Kamal Khan led government for what they call its failure to maintain law and order situation, failure to control spread of corona virus and injudicious distribution of development funds. The charges denied by chief minister Jam Kamal Khan repeatedly.
“The government has no interest in solution of masses issues”, Malik Sikandar Khan advocate, the opposition leader said.
The opposition political parties have been protesting in and outside the Balochistan Assembly against the Balochistan Awami Party led coalition government in the province. “We will continue our struggle till solution of issues faced by people of Balochistan”, Sanaullah Baloch, a legislator from Balochistan National Party (Mengal) said. The opposition members said that the government had failed to ensure peace in the province and recent suicide bombing was a clear proof of its failure. In today’s newspapers prices of petroleum products increased and shortage of food in Balochistan, Sanaullah Baloch lamented.
The legislators were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans criticizing the provincial government. They were also chanting slogans against the provincial government. “This government is least bothered about the troubles of masses”, Malik Sikandar Khan Advocate said.
Strict security measures were taken by the government to avoid any untoward incident during the opposition protest.
