BUITEMS Achievement in Asia

The Balochistan University of Information Technology and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) has ranked among the top 600 universities of Asia, the world’s most populous continent. Quacquarelli Symonds, a British company specializing in the analysis of higher education institutions around the world has issued a detailed report about the ranking of universities in Asia the other day.
Indeed, teachers and students of the BUITEMS deserve appreciation for making it to the top 600 universities of Asia. The university made positive strides towards success, despite all financial, administrative, and political odds. It has produced talented male and female students currently serving the country and nation on national and international levels.
In a short span of time, BUITEMS has been ranked as one of the shining educational institutions of Asia. The former Governor Balochistan Justice (R) Amir ul Mulk Mengal had inaugurated the BUITEMS in 2002. However, the former Governor Balochistan, Owais Ahmed Ghani during former President General (R) Pervez Musharraf had played an important role in the promotion of the university. Abbas Chaudhary the first Vice-Chancellor of the university also deserves appreciation for strengthening its foundation.
Apart from this, the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) has also declared BUITEMS as one of the global hubs among 17 universities of the world for its decent work and economic growth. Currently, the university has six faculties with more than 11,300 male and female students and 673 faculty members.
In Balochistan, the number of public sector universities is 7 and one Al Hamd university is private. The University of Balochistan, the province’s oldest higher education institution has also played a crucial role in the promotion of education. However, it is yet to make any international achievement in terms of ranking.
It is also a matter of immense pleasure that the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has ranked among one of the top 100 universities of Asia.
The world has now practically become a global village in the aftermath of information technology’s revolution. Technology has empowered people to interact with each other from a distance of thousands of miles.
Location does not matter, when it comes to gain knowledge, information, and learning in all fields of life. It is all about the commitment of the people. Indeed, commitment coupled with vision can make a difference. Still, a lot needs to be done on the part of faculty members, administration, and students of BUITEMS to maintain this position and make further progress.
