MBBS seats in BMC increased: CM Balochistan

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan on Sunday said the provincial government has increased MBBS seats in Bolan Medical College (BMC) to improve health facilities. The Chief Minister took to Twitter and said 126 seats increased just within one year to improve health services in government-run hospitals.
The Chief Minister’s statement has come after the Balochistan cabinet increased MBBS seats to 350 to improve health facilities. Jam Kamal chaired the cabinet meeting that had made a number of decisions. The cabinet increased the MBBS seats after thorough deliberations to overcome the shortage of doctors in government-run hospitals.
The Chief Minister mentioned that minorities and people with disabilities have also been increased from 4 to 14. The number of BDS seats also increased from 35 to 50 in Balochistan.
BPSC about to complete the process of tests, interviews for appointment of doctors
Meanwhile, the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) is about to complete the process of tests and interviews for medical officers. The government had sent over 1,000 vacancies to the BPSC for recruitment. On a war-footing basis, the BPSC ensured conducting tests and interviews of doctors to overcome the shortage of doctors to battle the COVID19 in the province.
