Lasbella: 14 injured when Karachi passenger coach turns turtle

At least 14 passengers got injured when a coach turned turtle in Lasbella district on Wednesday night. The passenger coach was coming from Karachi to Quetta when the incident happened.

Police sources said the driver lost control of the passenger coach because of over-speeding and turned turtle on the national highway. Police said women and children are also among the injured.

The medical emergency response team rushed towards the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital. The angry passengers blocked the highway against what they claim stealing of their clothes from the affected coach. The angry passengers chanted slogans against the district administration.

Road accidents have claimed scores of precious human lives

Over-speeding, reckless driving, and poor road conditions have claimed scores of human lives in Balochistan.  Road accidents have become the order of the day on the Quetta-Karachi highway because of a narrow road and overspeeding. The present government has however announced dualization of the Quetta-Karachi highway to reduce traffic accidents and facilitate the masses.
