Blast injured 4 in Turbat

A hand grenade attack injured four people in Balochistan’s Turbat city on Sunday. Police sources said unknown miscreants hurled a hand grenade at security forces check post in Cinema Chowk area of Turbat. As a result of the attack, four civilians injured, Imam, a police officer said. The blast rocked Balochistan’s Turbat city. The injured shifted to district headquarters hospital Turbat. The blast heard far and wide causing panic in the city. Shops and business centers closed in the aftermath of the blast.

Security forces reached the spot 

Police and frontier corps (FC) personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. They cordoned off the area to probe into the incident. Police said the injured persons were laborers working on the roadside. In July 2020, a blast killed one person and injured another seven in Turbat Bazar. The city has already suffered low-scale bomb explosions.

Buledi condemns the attack 

Finance Minister Balochistan, Zahoor Buledi strongly condemned and terms it a cowardly act on the part of miscreants. He said the perpetrators of the attack would be brought to book. “It was an attack on innocent people”, Mr. Buledi said.
