BPSC jobs: Candidates reposed their confidence in process of examinations

QUETTA: Candidates reposed their confidence in the process of competitive examinations underway under the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC). Thousands of candidates are appearing before the BPSC for various jobs in government departments currently.
“We have confidence in the BPSC examination”, Naseebullah, a candidate who was testing muscles to pass the examination of the Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Police said. Like Naseebullah, dozens of candidates gathered outside the office of the BPSC.
BPSC under the former chairman K. N Kohli regained its credibility in the aftermath of his predecessor’s arrest on corruption charges and irregularities in appointments. However, the present chairman BPSC Abdul Salik Khan Yousafzai has also maintained and improved the credibility of this prestigious organization.

“Here is transparency and we have heard about merit in SSTs tests and interviews”, Attaullah, another candidate mentioned. He said weak and incompetent students always make complaints about the process of examinations in BPSC.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested the former BPSC chairman Muhammad Ashraf Magsi on charges of irregularities and corruption. However, no step was taken against the officers recommended by him for appointments on important positions.
“We are facing difficulties in getting roll number slips and other information”, Samiullah, a resident of Balochistan’s Panjgoor district complained. “This seems to be a no-go area”, he lamented.

He demanded of the BPSC chairman to take notice of the difficulties of candidates and allowed them to enter the building to get information. “We cannot wait for 8 hours outside BPSC“, he said.
The Quetta Voice conducted random interviews of candidates testing their muscles to get better government jobs. Most of the students/candidates reposed their confidence in the systems.
Most of the government departments have lost their credibility when it comes to the recruitment of employees in Balochistan.
