Blast kills 3 and injured over a dozen in Chaman

A blast has killed 3 people and injured over a dozen people in Chaman, Pakistan’s bordering city with Afghanistan. Police said the bomb exploded outside the Levies headquarter Chaman.

A police vehicle was the target of the blast.

The injured rushed to district headquarters hospital Chaman for medical treatment. A child succumbed to injuries on way to the hospital, Dr. Abdul Malik in the hospital told Quetta Voice. He said levies and policemen were also among the injured.

IED planted in a motorcycle: Police 

Police said terrorists had planted an improvised explosive device in a motorcycle parked outside the levies headquarters in Chaman.

The blast smashed glasses of nearby homes and offices in the area. The blast heard far and wide in Chaman city causing panic among the citizens. Police and other law enforcers were quick at the scene.

Jam Kamal condemns the terror act 

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has strongly condemned the terrorist act. In a statement issued to the press after the terror act, Jam Kamal directed police to submit a report in this regard. “Perpetrators of the attack would be brought to justice”, the Chief Minister said.
