KARACHI: The number of novel corona virus cases have jumped to 53 across the country on Sunday. Most of the cases i.e. 34 have been confirmed in Sindh province, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the Spokesman for the provincial government said.

Thirteen cases of the novel corona virus have been confirmed in Sukkur. Those tested positive had returned to Pak-Iran border Taftan the other day.  Balochistan government has so far confirmed 10 cases of corona virus in the province.

SAPM on Health Dr Zafar Mirza has suggested that a “regional mechanism” should be developed so that Saarc member states can coordinate and share information on communicable diseases and minimise the spreading of the same. He was addressing representatives of Saarc countries at a video conference to discuss steps the regional bloc can take to prevent coronavirus from spreading in the region.
