Sculpture of Sattar Edhi in Sibi Balochistan attracts people

News Desk:

The sculpture of world-fame social worker and philanthropist, Abdul Sattar Edhi attracts the attention of people in Balochistan’s Sibi.

The sculpture is placed at the Chakar Rind University Sibi.

Well-known artist, Ishaq Lehri is the architect of the 17 feet tall sculpture of Sattar Edhi.
Main reason behind the sculpture of Sattar Edhi is the recognition of his services. Especially, Edhi ambulances shifted a large number of victims of blasts, road accidents etc to hospitals.

In making the project a success, Aziz Jamali, the Chief of People’s Primary Health Initiative (PPHI) Balochistan extended all possible support, Ishaq Lehri said.
“Jamali motivated me to carve out the sculpture”, Lehri mentioned.
“Despite all odds, I managed to make the sculpture of Edhi Sab”, Mr. Lehri said.

Road accidents claiming precious human lives

Road accidents have claimed thousands of precious human lives during last few years in Balochistan. Before the formation of Medical Emergency Response Centers (MERC), it was Edhi service that used to shift dead and injured to hospitals. However, MERC deserves appreciation for ensuring timely shifting of injured to hospitals.

“We will invite Faisal Edhi for inauguration”, Jamali said

“Edhi Abdul Sattar remains a symbol of life saving and service for the people in distress”, Mr. Jamali said.

This piece of art is not only a tribute to him rather a promise by PPHI to carry forward such mission.
“We’ll invite Faisal Edhi to commemorate this with us in Balochistan”, the PPHI Chief informed.
