CHAMAN: The Balochistan government has established a quarantine center at Pak-Afghan border Chaman to halt the spread of deadly corona virus on Tuesday. The border has been closed by federal interior ministry after reports of corona virus cases in Afghanistan.

The government has not announced opening of the border with Afghanistan so far. However, all arrangements have been made by the provincial disaster management authority to quarantine the poeple once the border is opened by the authorities.

Pak-Afghan border at Chaman closed

Security men have also been deployed in and outside the tent village declared as quarantine center to make sure peace. After opening of the border, the people coming from Afghanistan would be quarantined for 14 days in this camp, a security officer who declined to be named told Quetta Voice.

He said the date for the opening has not been announced. However, arrangements have been made to cope with the situation.
