CM approves Loralai division and formation of Killa Abdullah into 2 districts

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has in principle approved the establishment of the Loralai division and the formation of the Killa Abdullah district into 2 districts. The CM chaired a high-level meeting that reviewed the establishment of new divisions and districts on Monday, an official handout said.

The establishment of new divisions and districts would help in the improvement of service delivery, financial and administrative services, Jam Kamal said. “This would also help improving health and education indicators”, the CM mentioned.

Provincial ministers attended the meeting 

Provincial ministers Zahoor Buledi, Zamarak Khan Achakzai, Saleem Ahmed Khosa, Asghar Khan Achakzai, Noor Muhammad Dumar, Mitha Khan Kakar, Toor Utmankhail, Naeem Bazai, and others participated in the meeting. Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Senior Member Board of Revenue, and other high ups also attended the meeting.

The meeting thoroughly discussed the recommendations with regard to the establishment of new divisions and districts in Balochistan. The meeting also briefed about land allotment for development projects.

CM directs the formation of the reforms committee 

Jam Kamal directed the formation of a reforms committee to prepare recommendations for reforms in the revenue department. “Revenue department is very important”, he said.

He said the department should adopt a method of modern revenue collection to further improve its performance. The CM directed the ministers and officers to make sure to address the grievances of the masses on a priority basis.
