Health cards with a credit limit of Rs. 5 to 10 lakh be issued to masses: CM Balochistan

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has announced the issuance of health cards with a credit limit of Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh to masses of the province. “Every individual possessing NIC of Balochistan would be issued health insurance card“, Jam Kamal said. They would be entitled to avail of free medical treatment at all public and private hospitals across the country, he elaborated.

The CM made this announcement while addressing a function with regard to governance at the civil secretariat. Provincial ministers, provincial secretaries also attended the function.

“This card is also for those who are not government employees”, Jam Kamal said. He mentioned that both government employees and non-employees would be the beneficiaries of the scheme.

“‘Every individual would be entitled to spend Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh at per annum”, he explained.

The Secretary of Health Balochistan, Noor ul Haq Baloch has been also engaged in consultation with medical professionals and other experts to finalize the cards. “This is going to be a major relief for the common man”, Noor ul Haq Baloch told Quetta Voice.

Commenting over the demands of government employees, Jam Kamal assured the provision of better residential facilities to the employees. He noted that during the last three years, the present government has increased eight to ten allowances for the employees.

The method of employees sit-in was not good

Referring to the sit-in staged by employees, CM Balochistan said the method of the protest was not good. “The sit-in rather hijacked”, he said. He reiterated that his government was exploring all ways and means to give relief to the common man and government employees.
